All by myself

These days Carmen is more independent then ever.  Her favorite phrase is, "Mom! I can do it all by myself!"  This applies to getting in and out of the car, putting on her shoes, turning on an off lights, with the help of her step stool that she moves around from point A to point B, and the list goes on and on.  The other day we were in the grocery store together and she insisted on carrying the basket, even though it was as big as she was.  She wanted to do it all by herself...
