Halloween Happenings...

This year Halloween was busy, busy, busy.
It was nice to have fun and festive back
and we didn't waste anytime embracing it all.

First up, annual pumpkin carving. Love this tradition.
The kids did a great job and were super self-sufficient this year.

What's Halloween without some decorating?!
Carmen decided the entryway needed a little pizazz.

Then, 3 friends made chocolate witch fingers. Yum...or Gross?!

Next, we were off to a Halloween party hosted by Play Visions.
Um, a party hosted by a toy company? Yes, please!

2 Venoms.

Both were winners of scariest costume.

Next up was Grandma 'Gretchen'...
who won for best creative costume.

Carmen and her scarecrow friend, Paige.

It was an amazing evening full of food, fun, games and prizes!

We started Halloween morning with a swim meet.
It was a chance for the kids to wear their costumes and
show off their hard work after the Fall swim session.
Each kiddo swam 4 events and did a great job.
It was a relaxed meet with lots of sunshine (yay)
and lots of fun.

Carmen ended up winning the costume contest
and came home with a giant Kit-Kat for her granny efforts!

Then, onto Halloween evening.
Friends for dinner, tricks and treats.

Ready for trick-or-treating:
1 robber,
1 scarecrow,
1 grandma,
1 devil,
2 venoms,
1 butterfly
and Spiderman...

The Granny Group.
Carmen and 4 other friends dressed-up like grannies.
They each have their own granny name and identity.
Love these girls.

The group of boys however did not stick around
for pictures. Instead, they headed for the candy.
But, I was able to capture boy chaos upon their return.
Fully sugared no doubt!

Phew...Halloween 2021 is in the books!
