For Spring Break this year we headed to sunnier skies. Kauai, Hawaii was our destination. We've been there several times and it's one of our favorite vacation spots. This year we got to enjoy it with good friends for their first trip to the Island.
Waiting patiently for our flight to leave.
Keeping busy.

Keeping busy.
This is what luggage looks like for 8 --
4 adults, 4 kids.
We stayed in Princeville near Hanalei,
our favorite town and beach.
Sandcastles, boogie boarding, frisbee throwing,
swimming, pier jumping and beach combing.
Aloha!
In Kauai they do things a bit differently for Easter.
Jelly beans were planted and the Hawaiian sun
made sure they sprouted into eggs. It was quite a site.
The Easter Bunny certainly didn't disappoint.
We went on a tubing adventure through lava caves.
Actually, they were old sugar plantation irrigation ditches.
So neat to see.
We suited up -- headlamps and all.
Kids had a blast.
Luau time.
We enjoyed great food and great entertainment.
Dancing, fire breathers, music, what's not to like?!
Enjoying some of the 'wildlife.'
Boogie boarding was a hit for both kids.
They couldn't get enough, especially Carmen.
The bigger the waves, the better.
By the end of the trip they were getting the hang of it.
After mornings at the beach,
it was time to head to the pool.
The Fab 4.
Flip flops and cold drinks; the perfect combo.
So much to explore.
So much to do.
Thank you Kauai for a great time.
Until next time...
