Today Carmen had her first hair cut. We've been letting it grow for over two years now and it was definitely time for a trim. She was excited and kept talking about wanting to do it. Like so many other things, she often talks a good game but when it's game time, she changes her tune. She is two after all. Much to our delight, she did beautifully. She sat in a fire engine (note: she first chose the fire engine, then decided she wanted the taxi cab and then finally ended up in the fire engine after all), played with my-little-ponies and a princess wand while she got her hair sprayed with water from a squirt-bottle; she was not a fan of the 'cape' so it was promptly removed at the first opportunity. She sat still for the most part, got her trim, got her hair braided and finished with pink sparkles. All and all, the first haircut experience was a success and we have a photo and lock of hair to prove it.
