Outdoorsy

It's been so nice to participate in some outdoor activities now that we are in the sunshine.
No rain, no overcast skies, just blue and a couple of clouds with lots of liquid rays.
So thankful to be here and enjoying.

A trip to Top Golf to practice our swings.
Both kids did great and I happened to hit a few straight ones as well.

Wild Animal Park and Wildlife Zoo.
We make a point of going here every trip.
It's an amazing park filled with amazing animals we don't always get to see back home.
This time some very curious animals came to say hello.

We took a 'hike' (really a walk) along the shores of Lake Pleasant.
It was a completely different landscape than what we're used to.
There are also 500+ wild donkeys roaming the park.
While we didn't see them, we certainly saw signs that they are everywhere.

We are certainly loving the opportunity to swim.
Hooray for warm temps and cool water.

Happy 2021

 Goodbye 2020....hello 2021.
A lot of changes, adjustments and hurdles were overcome this past year.
We welcome 2021 with fresh energy and positivity
and wish for a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

Surf and Turf to toast 2020 away.

Family Bingo night.
Sigh...somehow kids were victorious, not the adults.

Grandma's signature ice cream sundaes.

Cheers to 2021!

Annual washing in money --
here's to health and happiness (and prosperity too)!
And whatever wishes and dreams you may want to tackle.

Post Christmas AZ Adventure

We are so happy to be back!
While our last trip was only a couple of months ago,
we couldn't wait to get back to Grandma and the Arizona sunshine.

More Christmas surprises.

Treats!? Yes, please.

Sunny and 70 = pool time!

A quick visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clause at a local light display.
They weren't very talkative for some reason...

Christmas 2020

Merry, merry Christmas!
Despite all the differences and changes this year,
it was a good Christmas. A small Christmas full of holiday cheer,
being thankful for our closest friends and family, remembering those we love
and those we've lost, Christmas surprises and smiles.

Apparently Santa did make a stop at our house after all.

Both kids asked for photo blankets of their cats.
It was Max's #1 requested item from Santa.

New slippers!

Oh no! More video game time!
What was Santa thinking...?

Love of Legos still going strong.

Gloves of all varieties...
football and more soccer goalie gloves.

Spy gear...

Favorite things...

And now, the Christmas scavenger hunt!
First clue in the oven...

Hmmm...where can the next clue be?

Final clue, can you guess what the big reveal is?

Ping Pong table!
Hours of fun, here we come!

A very merry, cozy Christmas to all!

Waiting for Santa

Today is December 24, Christmas Eve.
Last day for a visit from Red before he departs to the North Pole.
Cookies and milk for Santa and maybe a quick prayer
to make sure he pays the Skurski household a visit...

Candy Cane Lane

 In keeping with our tradition,
we took a stroll down Candy Cane lane to check out the Christmas lights.
While we were bundled up and masked up,
we still had a chance to enjoy a hot holiday beverage.

SNOW?!

The kids took full advantage of the random snowfall.
It came on quickly, first just a few flakes, then larger flakes that were sticking.
It was a winter wonderland before too long.
At least an hour of snow accumulated to an inch or so.
Just enough for some impromptu fun --
snowball fights, building a snowman, making snow angels.
It was great to get a taste of snow for the fun and then have it quickly disappear.
