 We were lucky to get a weekend away.

Thank you Grandma-Son.

We headed to Vegas.
Bruno Mars was the headliner.
A concert we all were interested to see.
He did not disappoint.
One of the best concerts I've seen. Ever.

Blue Jay Running Club

Spring running club is here.

One practice a week for 4 weeks

before the grand finale.

A chance to get in shape, practice running and 

play games to prep for the 1/2 mile and 1 mile races.
This time around the main event was at the Shoreline stadium.
The stands were packed as families and friends from 
around the district came to cheer on kids in 3 - 5 grade.

Max had a solid showing.

He finished 1st in the 4th grade 1/2 mile

and second in the 4th grade mile.

Truth be told,

he was super disappointed.

He had a goal time in mind and wanted to get first in both.

Hats off to the competitors and all of the runners.

They all did a great job.

My favorite moment of the day was

Max giving the winner of the mile a high five.

Chili Peppers Volleyball

 This season was an interesting one.
Team Chili Peppers, despite their best efforts,
did not win one single game.

They were super close several times,

which made for a bit of a frustrating season.

The team was a mix of new players and some veterans.

The silver lining was that Carmen had some great friends on the team

(the veterans).

Their coach was only 16 so was a great opportunity

for her to teach and learn as well.

Despite a non-winning season,

the girls had fun and were just happy 

to be playing a sport they love.
