Soccer...Soccer...Soccer

Wow, it's been a busy couple of months.
This time of year the calendar is always full -- school, activities and soccer!

This year was especially busy since Max played on three different teams.
His year-round Celtic team worked hard, really hard.
They got a new coach, they trained, practiced and rose to the occasion.
They played a year-up and ended up winning their league.
It was an undefeated season for the B12 Green Team!

Max also decided this year he wanted to play with his school buddies.
It was important to him to join his friends.
He had a ton of fun with the Wildcats and they had a great season.

Next up -- Surf Academy.
This is a new tournament team he recently joined.
They practice once per month and participate in different tournaments throughout the year.
They just finished playing the Titans Invitational and won out their age group.
They were undefeated and played some pretty impressive soccer.
This team is comprised of players from different teams from different leagues
so Max has been enjoying playing with some familiar faces and meeting new players.

Carmen was also busy this soccer season.
Between refereeing and playing on the Cheetahs, her weekends were full.
With her dad as the coach, she stepped up as a leader.
She helped with the line-ups and game strategies.
She played hard and really showed a love of the game
and a love of winning...she certainly played with passion.

A recent game called for snow, lots of snow!
It was a different type of game -- fun and frustrating.
It was certainly memorable.

Proud of Carmen for digging in, giving it her all
and being a team player.

Thanksgiving

This year we did something slightly different.
We packed up and decided to spend an extended Thanksgiving weekend away.
We had snow, we had great company, we had a traditional turkey dinner,
we had fun, we had a hot tub, we played games, we slept in, we ate well, we explored outside, we explored the town, we watched World Cup soccer.
It was a memorable and much needed time away with amazing friends.
We have a lot to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Band Concert

Carmen had her first band concert of the year.
I was super impressed.
While she's been practicing, hearing her solo was great,
but hearing the entire band together was next level.
She's been enjoying honing her clarinet skills
but is also super happy to have her besties by her side in band too.
Proud of our girl.
