Halloween 2022

This Halloween season was as fun and festive as ever.
Lots of spooky events, parties and get-togethers.
Here are Halloween highlights.

Nile Nightmares Haunted House.
The kids kicked of Halloween
with some scares.
Max's face says it all...

Carmen practiced making her
candy corn smoothie.
Delish!

Annual pumpkin carving
with the Bendiksen's.
No shortage of creativity with this crew.
Lots of careful concentration paid off.
The final products looked great.

Carmen refed soccer.
The coaches and kids appreciated her witchy-ness.

Play Visions Warehouse party.
Pinata pandemonium, amazing treats, games galore
and of course, the costume contest.

Before...

After...

Fred and Wilma,
Barney and Betty.

Carmen missed the party, yet had other Halloween fun --
horseback riding.

Nothing says Halloween like an outdoor swim meet!
Despite the chilly weather, Carmen had fun swimming
and participating in a costume parade.

The main event.

First up, dinner.
Filled with some festive surprises.

Trick-or-treaters
preparing to set out for the night.

Meeting up with friends.

Joy and Sadness.
What a duo.

The aftermath.

Sugar Rush!

Taking inventory.

Happy Halloween 2022!

Brookside Fun Run

Max's school participated in a district-wide fun run.
Students grades 3 -5 practiced one day a week at running club--
running, playing games and training for the big event.
Kids could choose to run a 1/2 mile or mile or both.
Max chose to do both.
(he was the first 4th grader to finish in both the 1/2 and the mile).
Funny, he didn't really even want to do running club.
He told me he runs enough.
A little push from his buddies to participate (and his mom)
helped. He had a great time and was in his competitive element.
There were a lot of talented runners and it was
great to see everyone out there giving it their all.
Lots of cheering!
