San Diego was a unique trip and a blessing this year.
First up, Max's soccer team participated in the Surf Cup.
They had a chance to play competitive 'Best on the Best' teams.
They won 2, lost 1, and had lots of fun.

After soccer, we met up with Grandma 'Son'
for five days of fun and sun in San Diego.
Top of the list was surfing
(especially for Carmen).
Since she endured soccer for three days, it was time
for something she enjoyed.
We had lots of beach time.
So beautiful.
We spent two days at the San Diego Zoo.
So many fun animals to see and things
to explore. It really was an amazing experience.
We visited the Midway and were
blown away with the Navy aircraft carrier.
We learned so much and walked away with
a much better appreciation for the Navy
and those who serve(d). Thank you!
We celebrated Grandma 'Son's' 75th birthday.
So blessed to enjoy this time together.
We had a perfect dinner with a perfect view
celebrating a perfect mom/grandma.
We enjoyed the pool
and hotel festivities.
Including a talking parrot show.
We took walks along the bay
and collected shells and treasures.
We wined and dined
and enjoyed being together.
Thank you California,
Thank you San Diego for a memorable trip.
Until next time...
