Mid-Winter Break: Whidbey Island

 It was time for our annual
mid-winter break trip to Whidbey!

4 days full of fun.

Molar #2

 It was a long time coming.
Carmen had a wiggly molar for weeks.
After much poking, prodding and a lot of wiggling,
it finally came out
(while we were at Red Robin having dinner).
She was excited to explain what happened to the tooth fairy
and to collect her $5 bill and Silver Dollar the next morning.

Choir

 These days Carmen rarely misses an opportunity to try something new. 
This time it was Choir.
5th graders from around the district could participate in a choir performance.
The kids worked hard practicing -- 
at times giving up their recess, and their evenings.
They performed 4 songs. Some in other languages.
They also got to perform 2 songs with the Shorecrest choir.
I was blown away. 

The kids sounded great and you could tell they were proud of their efforts.

And, of course, we were proud of our little C.
A job well done!
