Mid-Winter Break Fun

 Beach walking, hunting for crabs and sea life, hot-tubbing, 

smore's making, video game playing, movie-watching kind of fun.

Snowy Weekend

 Yay! It snowed. 
The timing couldn't have been better. 

It started on Friday and continued throughout the weekend. 

Kids had a blast. 

They bundled up, took their sleds to the hill, 

met up with friends, built a snow fort 

and consumed plenty of hot chocolate. 

It truly looked like a winter wonderland. 

Fun to watch the snow fall and then quickly turn to rain after a couple days of fun.

A snowy Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day scavenger hunt.

Prizes = Puzzles and Pocky

A few Valentine surprises from Grandma as well.

Scratch tickets! Carmen was the big winner, Max not so much.

Good thing Valentine's day is a day of love and giving. 

Carmen agreed to split her winnings.

Making dinner

 The kids are getting interested in cooking. 

They wanted to make dinner. 

Their 'specialty,' thin crust (a.k.a on a tortilla) pizza. 

It was actually quite tasty. Cheese, bacon, chicken and red sauce. 
They set the table, had a menu (albeit limited), and took orders. 

Funny though, there was no clearing the table or doing the dishes...

perhaps I'll write a review!

All in all, happy to have a hot meal without having to cook.

 With the rainy, wet and cold weather we're not getting out as much as we'd like.
We are making the best of it and improvising with exercise inside.
