Winthrop

A weekend away in Winthrop, Washington.
Moms and kids.
Good friends, good times, good weather.

Several days spent at Lake Pearrygin.
Swimming, floating in the lake,
sand castle building, soccer,
lawn games, relaxing in the sunshine...

The gang!
(happy kids)

The gang after riding in the car to a hike
that didn't end up being where we thought it was...
(not so happy kids)

A weekend full of treats.
That brought back smiles.

Smore's -- yes, please!

Pre-bed Minecraft.

Time away with the kiddos.

Thanks friends for the perfect get-away weekend!

Max & Blitzen

This boy loves his cat.
Despite Blitzen's moods, his feistiness
and the occasional biting and scratching,
Max can't get enough.
Blitzen does get a bad wrap...
he is an amazing snuggler, loves to be pet
and does love Max.

School's Out

What a wild year it's been.
Happy homeschooling is in the books
(at least for now).
Here's to surviving a crazy time
and enjoying summer!
So very proud of these two.

Swim season begins

Swim team officially started today.
First practice in the pool, but socially distanced.
A different kind of season but we'll take it.
Both kids were excited to finally get back in the pool.

Fishing Adventures

The kids took to Puget Sound for some fishing with friends.
Well, more like shrimping. That was the intent.
Catch lots of shrimp. Each kiddo had a quota of 80 spotted shrimp.
Quota fulfilled!

Along with shrimp, there were some miscellaneous crab caught,
a small octopus and a huge 77 pound halibut.
Holy halibut!

Kids had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed their time on the boat.
They woke up early (5 AM early) with no complaints.
They were so excited. They drove the boat, helped with the catch
and even snapped the heads off the shrimp.

Thanks friends for fun and fish!

St. Edwards

We've been spending lots of time at St. Edwards park.
The trails are open and the kids have been enjoying exploring.
So fun having this amazing place in our own backyard.
