6 vs. 13
I do laundry about once a week for the kids. Tonight I was folding and found it quite interesting that Carmen had 6 pairs of socks in the load and Max had 13 pairs. Not sure why he is changing his socks so many times per day or the better question, why does he have 13+ pairs of socks. He must have at least another dozen in his drawer. Lessoned learned. More clothes = more folding (or matching!)

Easter!
As usual, it was a busy one this year. Busy, but fun.
Easter antics:
The Beach egg hunt--
friends, face painting, games and some extra treats make this tradition extra fun.
18 colored eggs.
Easter crafting.
Can you tell which one belongs to Carmen and which to Max?
Easter Bunny.
Yes, he ended up visiting the Skurski household despite
some threats that he may skip our house this year.
There was some 'improved' behavior as a result.
Dressed in Sunday-best, ready for church.
Egg hunt, round #2.
Cousins!
Obligatory family photo.
Happy Easter!

Spring
Welcome Spring, we are glad you are here. We are ready for new beginnings, flowers blooming, sun beginning to shine. We are ready for more outside play time, bike rides and adventure walks. We are ready for lighter jackets, using our umbrellas for spring showers and staying up later because it's finally lighter.

3.5
3.5 today.
Turning into a big boy before our very eyes.
Full of energy, full of life.
Full of funny expressions, crazy hip-shaking dance moves, a big vocabulary.
Full of curiosity, lots and lots of questions, make believe.
Still full of wanting to be held 'uppy' and snuggle.
Still rough and tumble, independent with some attitude.

Happy St. Patrick's Day
...from our little leprechauns to yours!
Carmen made a leprechaun trap at school. Max keeps asking 'have you caught the 'green guy' yet?!" Only time will tell.

Art
The art projects are plentiful in the Skurski house thanks to a certain 5 year old who just can't get enough. I can't say the art bug has been inherited by Maxy quite yet but he has his moments. He insisted on converting this cardboard box into a fire truck. And, he insisted on 'painting' it with a marker. We'll see how far he takes his project before he loses interest.
And Carmen is creating a Carmen creation.
Must always involve scissors, glue, and pens in a rainbow of colors.

Bowling
We recently had a fun night out with friends, kid free! We decided to go bowling, just like in the pre-kid days. Lots of friendly trash-talking, consuming bowling alley food and beverage and just hanging out. The best part of the night was the first frame of the third game--strikes across the board for the girls. Unfortunately the streak didn't continue into the second frame but it was nice while it lasted!
